Garlicky Grilled Cheese

When you are making tomato soup, how do you not make grilled cheese?

Garlicky Grilled Cheese

1 loaf     sliced, plain french bread

4 – 5T     butter

1/2t        garlic powder

1/2t        paprika

1c            shredded cheese

(Colby/Monterey Jack blend)

1t            dried parsley

In one bowl melt butter and mix in garlic and paprika.

In second bowl mix cheese with parsley.

Preheat a skillet (or griddle) on high heat until it is hot then lower to medium-medium low.

Using a kitchen brush, brush butter on one side of bread then place face down on your skillet.

Cover the bread with cheese.

Brush one side of a bread slice and place on top.

Brown one side, 3-5 minutes, then flip. Feel free to peek under there and flip it when it is as brown as you like.

Then brown on the second side, 2-3 minutes. Same thing, peek under there and remove from the pan when it is as browned as you like.

As you continue to toast the bread, you may need to lower the heat.

This recipe will make 10 garlicky grilled cheese sandwiches. I noted this serves 5 but I do know some people love garlicky grilled cheese so this may only make 2 servings if that is you 🧀🍞☺
